This movie is highly appreciated and
the movie caused a fierce discussion
about the fairy tale and the truth of the real world.

It was our great hour to have invited Dr.Paris Lau as our facilitator.
His unique interpretation of the movie really inspired us a lot

The Screening of the local movie--High Noon was in the evening of 06/November/2009.
Even it was during mid-term season, the screening was well welcomed by our PolyU students and staff.

We were also very honored to have invited the director, Heiward Mak as the facilitator of the after-screening discussion.

Pan's Labyrinth


Set in 1940s Spain against the postwar repression of Franco's Spain, a fairy tale that centers on Ofelia, a lonely and dreamy child living with her mother and adoptive father, who is a military officer tasked with 'ridding the area' of rebels. In her loneliness, Ofelia creates a world filled with fantastical creatures and secret destinies. With Fascism at its height, Ofelia must come to terms with her world through a fable of her own creation.

PIFS

New Library Regulation

Only PIFS members with the valid membership card (the newly updated ) can borrow DVDs from the CILL library.

1. Each member can borrow only one DVD at a time and keep it for two working days .

2. Borrowers should present their staff or student ID card and membership card to the staff at the CILL counter.

3. Borrowers' PIFS membership card will be kept by our staff until the DVD is returned.

4. An overdue fine of $2 per working day will be charged for the first 5 overdue days .the fine will increase up to $5 per working day starting from the 6th overdue day.

5. PIFS will cancel the membership of a borrower who returns the DVD late for more than 15 days .

6. A borrower should ,before leaving CILL, ensure that the DVD issued to him on loan is complete and undamaged .

7. If any DVD borrowed is lost or damaged, the borrower shall be liable to pay PIFS such sum of money as PIFS considers necessary to replace such a DVD. In addition, the borrower may be required to pay a surcharge amounting to 20% of such price .

8.All VCDs, VHS and Books have been removed from ClLL PIFS Library. If you want to borrow them, please send e-mail to us or left messages on our Fackbook or Blog. We are sorry for any inconvenient caused.
